Marshfield Area Ski Touring Foundation
Mission
We’re passionate about sharing the beauty of outdoor recreation in Wood County! MASTF dedicates itself to nurturing and growing cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and trails throughout the Marshfield area. Additionally, our trails welcome everyone – whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or just starting out. Ultimately, we’d love to see you exploring the outdoors with us, any time of year. Come experience the joy of nature right here in our community!
Who we are…
In 1991, volunteers established the Marshfield Area Ski Touring Foundation (MASTF) as a nonprofit organization. Since then, we dedicate ourselves to promoting outdoor recreation during the winter months and beyond. Moreover, we focus on creating and maintaining quality trails for our community.
Today, MASTF maintains more than 35 kilometers of groomed ski trails and 10 miles of mountain bike trails at the Marshfield area. Through the dedication of our volunteers and community support, we provide public access to well-maintained trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, and mountain biking throughout the year.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, trail passes, community partnerships, and donations from outdoor enthusiasts like you sustain MASTF entirely. Importantly, these resources help us purchase grooming equipment, maintain trail infrastructure, and keep these beautiful outdoor spaces accessible to everyone year-round.
Whether you’re an experienced Nordic skier, a curious “silent sports” beginner, or a family looking for adventure, MASTF provides the trails and welcoming community to help you enjoy the great outdoors right here in Marshfield. Join us on the trails and become part of our growing outdoor recreation community!
